Ao no Orchestra Main Storyline
When Hajime Aono was little, he couldn’t get enough of the sound of his violin. Since he was a little boy, he looked up to and admired his father, a world-famous violinist who pushed him to start playing the violin. After seeing his parents’ nasty split, Aono says he will never play again and goes to high school without a plan or goal in mind.
Aono, who isn’t very sporty, is taken to the school’s health center after getting hurt by a ball during physical education. There, he meets the brash Ritsuko Akine, who starts to play the violin because she thinks she is the only one in the room. But because of something that happened in the past, rumors are going around that Akine is a monster. Because of this, she has grown apart from her friends, which Aono did not know.
Aono is annoyed by Akine’s bad playing and by the fact that she doesn’t know much about music, but she wants to go to a school with an orchestra. Their teacher thinks this is the best time for them to get to know each other, so she tells Aono to teach Akine how to play the violin.
